  • Everquest
    Rainbow Six
    Battlefield
  • Nice; I could never get into the original EverQuest - I think I was blinded by my loyalty to Ultima Online at the time, haha - but I do love the sequel. Which Battlefield was your favorite?
  • This is a hellaciously amazing list, man. You have great tastes. Especially with Monkey Island and Loom!!!
  • haha, thanks! Monkey Island and Loom were so great... I didn't own a PC when they first came out, but my best friend's Dad did. We'd end up playing till dawn, falling asleep in their parents study, then getting up, having breakfast and going back to playing. So great. :)
  • Myst, Grim Fandango, Perfect General, Quake 2, Half Life
  • Nice! Grim Fandango was a great LucasArts classic, too. I think it was the first game they did without the SCUMM engine. I spent way too many hours on Quake 2. Half Life was a blast, but I actually spent more time with Counter Strike than I did HL itself... got side tracked and didn't end up going back and beating it until a couple years ago, haha.

  • Damn, quite a list! Some great ones there, too, and a handful I've never tried. Will have to break out the emulator sometime.

We still need to hit some 2142 together one of these days. :)
  • It's a great list you've made. Some of my all-time favorites are there, like Monkey Island and Myst.
Here's some of my favorite games:

    - Monkey Island: I love all of the games in the series but my favourite must be the first one.
    - Myst: Myst was excellent but I liked Riven a bit more. Exile was a bit too easy. Revelation was beautiful. Too bad EoA wasn't pre-rendered.
    - Mass Effect: One of the best games I've ever played. Great story telling.
    - Civilization IV: I've only played the 4:th one so I can't compare it with the rest. But It's a wonderful game.
    - Europa Universalis: Incredibly addictive and fun. Prefer the second in the series.
    - Metal Slug: Love the games. Fast pace and fun.
    - Portal: Ingenious!
    - Sonic the Hedgehog: The first 2D games were incredible. The rest wasn't as good. I really like Sonic Adventures 1 & 2 though.
    - Little Big Adventure 1 & 2 ("Relentless" in the US): I like them both very much. Probably mostly because of nostalgia.

Some other great games worth mentioning. Not good enough to be in the list above but that I still enjoy really much:

    - Psychonauts: Hilarious game I can't stop playing.
    - ZAngbandTK: Free addictive RPG. Very fun.
    - Bioshock: Lovely, funny and a bit spooky. It's well worth a try.
    - FSX: If you like flying.
    - Rome: Total War: Mostly enjoyed the strategic part of the game.
    - Black & White: Almost on the top list. Great idea and really beautiful. Unfortunately it was a bit repetitive.

This is not a complete list of my favourite games of all time but those I could come up with at this point. I've probably missed a bunch. :-)
